Anyone can manage a project with Binfire

Binfire is a cloud based project management and collaboration tool that lets anyone, not only project managers, manage projects at an affordable price. Free!

If you are a freelancer photographer, artist, book writer, or a solo software developer, you can take advantage of the benefits included in Binfire. Binfire not only has a very well done and integrated chat, but also allows you to store files without charging extra for these features.

Do you feel overwhelmed because too many tasks and very little time? Do you have too many details falling through the crack? Do you want more control of your time?

If the answers to any of the above questions is yes, then you need a Collaboration tool that lets you coordinate with vendors and clients what needs to be done.

Binfire interface is easy to use and was developed with collaboration in mind. I will even say that the most difficult part of Binfire is the login process. Once you login, you are presented with the main menu below.

The menu above shows you three possible actions:

  1. Dashboard – Comprehensive view of all the projects
  2. Private Files – Your files that can be shared with anyone or any of your assigned projects – Very well thought!
  3. My Projects – Shows statistics of every project that you are assigned to.

These three actions gives any freelancer the basic information to have a successful project.

Who wants a successful project?

On the right side from the main screen, you will see all your projects, the button to create a new project and the option to upgrade your account. In my opinion, the upgrade message should go in the top right or left corner of the page, since that has nothing to do with the main page. This side dash will become handy if you are managing more than one project at a time.

I want to highlight something that I believe is in high demand in many web applications. The only success story in dashboards (that I know) is Facebook, they are able to give you lots of information in one page. I can easily imagine the Binfire development team using their application dashboard to manage their own development. This dashboard is built with very useful information. It gives the right amount of information for the sponsor, the PM and the team members. It will let you know what milestones are onetime, behind, or on-target.

Binfire really makes PMing a small project easy. If you are a freelancer and you are in need of a free tool to get you organized, Binfire is definitely for you.

I will like to know your input of this tool. If you have used any of the alternatives, please post a message and let us know what you think in contrast of Binfire.

Happy Clouding! Geo
